but i also really love stories in music. there is something about a songwriter, singer, and guitar that hits me just right. clearly, this is obvious when one looks at my todd snider fascination. he is a folk singer and, in my humble opinion, is perhaps the best song writer right now. (if only he’d release a new album … or go on tour in the northeast).
i recently stumbled across jaymay. i think it started when i watched that Josh Radnor movie where he played a very angst ridden version of Ted Moseby, but without a Barney Stinson. and i loved the sound her music made in the movie. and then she kept popping up on various pandora stations. so i sought out some music.
this song, it’s bittersweet and lovely. like most of my favorites.
